I am a maths teacher currently registered in Tasmania and
New South Wales. My specialised area of teaching is Years 7-12 and HSC.

It is with great pleasure that I provide this reference for Cristian (John) Bruteanu who tutored my son, Michael, last year in Higher School Certificate Mathematics and Mathematics Extension 1.He produced very impressive results in a relatively short period of time. In just 10 weeks between the Trial HSC and his final exams Michael's marks improved by 40%.
Cristian is an excellent teacher who has a wonderful rapport with young people. For my son, the 'pennies dropped' when John was able to explain complex ideas that Michael's (private) school teacher had failed to clarify over the entire year. Cristian is very patient and professional in his manner and addresses the problems the student is having in an appropriate manner.

Dr Cristian Bruteanu has been working with our daughter Lizzie now for over six months on her mathematics. We asked Cristian to help Lizzie regain her confidence in mathematics with the objective of moving up a class in school.
Lizzie attends PLC in Pymble and last year in Year 7 was moved down from class 3 of 9 classes to class 4.
Within three months, Cristian had Lizzie topping Mathematics in her class with the consequence that she was promoted to class 2 for this year 8.

Cristian has tutored our eldest two children – aged 14 and 12 – in Mathematics, for the past 6 months.
